Best movies of the 1990’s

After the booming 80’s came the 1990’s, and more great movies, and here they are….. 1) Star Wars: Episode1: The Phantom Menace (1999)…. just when you thought Star Wars was done with the original 3 movies, back it came with this, the first of the Prequel trilogy. 2) Star Trek: First Contact (1996)… The 8th(?) of the original 10 `proper` Star Trek movies, and worth it just for the soundtrack alone. 3) Braveheart (1995)… stars Mel Gibson as Scottish hero William Wallace, though it is rather long at 2hrs 58minutes. 4) Die Hard: With a Vengeance (1995)… the 3rd and my favourite of the Die Hard movies. 5) Backdraft (1991)….

Christmas Gifts & Gadgets (2015)

It’s that time of year again, and here’s a few ideas for gifts to buy for others, or for yourself if you got Amazon Giftcards…… WindowsPhone based SmartPhone: Cheaper than an iPhone, and some would say having a better looking interface than newer versions of iOS, these are well worth a look with the Nokia Lumia 530 weighing in at under £70 (or if you’re lucky £40 with some case colours). Android Based Smartphone Having had a look around, I’d maybe go for a Samsung Galaxy Y, costing just under £60. Android Tablet For this, for people on a bit of a budget, you probably can’t go too far wrong

20 of the best movies of the 1980’s

The 1980’s eventually turned into one of the best decades ever, it was my first full decade…. Margaret Thatcher was British Prime Minister…. Ronald Reagan was American President…. Home computers started to become feasable…. VCR’s started to become common, and a deluge of some of the best movies ever made were made and released. Here’s the ones you should make sure to have in your DVD/Blu-Ray disc collection (or via iTunes or Amazon Instant Video if you can’t wait for it)………….. 1) Crocodile Dundee (1986): The movie with Paul Hogan as Mick `Crocodile` Dundee from the Australian Outback, who then goes back to New York with a woman journalist after

How to get started Youtubing

This popular video site sharing website has been around for over 10 years now, and gone from short crappy quality clips of pets & people doing the sort of stuff you’d see on You’ve Been Framed, to High quality HD footage of the same stuff + even people having a crack at doing their own “Online TV Shows”. These range from things like Tech Reviews to DIY Electronics + Prank Shows, some of which are better than mainstream shows like Beadle’s About or Candid Camera managed to pull off. There seems to be more & more people wanting to have a crack at it (not just because you can earn money

How to deal with school bullies

This has been going on since…. probably since schools were first invented. The recommended method if you’re being targetted  generally goes along the lines of: 1) Tell a parent or teacher in good detail what’s been happening (this is the modern day recommended method by 1960’s/1970’s hippies who grew-up and got jobs as teachers…. it doesn’t usually work, but at least covers your ass if you have to resort to stage3).  2) If parent or teacher actually does something about it, bullies tend to keep a low profile for a few weeks before kicking off again because you told on them, in which case resort to…..  3) Beat the crap out

Vine sucks

Vine is a social media site for posting short vids from your mobile devices. I’ve decided I absolutely hate it with a passion you cannot imagine based purely on the fact the videos immediately AutoPlay, complete with sound, which is “seriously awks” when randomly looking through it via your WindowsPhone from bed, forgetting where the volume is set to: Resulting in a mini heart attack as you’re subjected to a loud burst of shit music you cant get out of your fucking head (followed by a pissy mood because this happened. Seriously, if you want to post vids online, stick to Youtube.

Regional Flavours

It is often said that girl’s thingies might smell of fish & taste of chicken, but what if they were regional flavoured? If you chowed down on a Geordie Lass, would it taste of Newcastle Brown Ale? If you chowed down on a girl from Norfolk, would it taste of Colman’s English Mustard? Or would one from Boston (MA) in the USA taste of Clam Chowder? Got any ideas for more possible flavours? Stick ’em in the box (the comments box, that is)……….
